The Precision Stun & Bleed is a percussive stunner model that automatically adjust to the size of each fish – no prior calibration is required.
The cutting-edge swim-in system ensures minimum stress levels with low density and at the same time separating fish to feed the machines effectively.
A world-wide patented solution ensuring that the fish is always in the right position when the fish get stunned and the arch gills is cut, giving an instant and irreversible humane killing.
The Precision Stun & Bleed model is developed over the last two decades and is a fully integrated percussive stun and bleed system. It has high precision and effectiveness, reducing the work-load on the backup-stations and minimizes the time out of water for the fish.
It is the only model on the market where calibration for different fish sizes or species is not required. The principle is to grab the fish from below the operculum with two round tip hooks and then pull it towards the outlet to lock the fish, and then knock out the fish with a cylinder head hammer before cutting the arch gills with two knives from below giving an instant and irreversible humane killing. The grab and pull feature of the operculum gives significantly higher accuracy at calculating the brain location thus a better precision in the knock. The method results in no hematomas or skin marks from the gill cut. There is also detection of belly up, and in that case, there is no attempt to process the fish but instead passing it through to be handled by the backup station.
The system includes a “smart feeding” system which is an innovative control mechanism that optimizes the fish feeding process to the Stunners. It is designed for low fish density and to provide an ordered "one-to-one" feeding, thereby maximizing system performance.
Furthermore, it has a design capacity of 10 fish per minute per channel, and capability to withstand peaks up to 14 fish per minute per channel.
